Sorry ladies ... Charlie Hunnam has just dropped out of the big screen adaption of "Fifty Shades of Grey" -- and it's all because of his role on "Sons of Anarchy."
According to reports ... the decision was made because Hunnam wasn't able to "adequately prepare" for the role due to his "immersive" TV schedule.
Makes sense, since filming was supposed to begin on the movie later this month -- but just days ago Hunnam was talking up how seriously he had been taking the role ... so it's pretty surprising.

Binge drinking during pregnancy linked to negative emotions
Researchers in Norway found that negative affectivity is linked to light alcohol use and binge drinking during pregnancy. Results published in Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, a journal of the Nordic Federation of Societies of Obstetrics and Gynecology, show 16% of women had light alcohol use in the first trimester and 10% in the second trimester. Binge drinking occurred in 12% of women during their first trimester and 0.5% in the second trimester.
Experts describe negative affectivity as the tendency to experience negative emotions such as anxiety and depression. Individuals with negative affectivity tend to have an unfavorable view of themselves and the world in general. Previous studies have associated negative affectivity with greater vulnerability to stress, intense emotional reactions to daily life, and inclination to use intoxicants in response to stress.
Mothers who use alcohol while pregnant place their unborn child at risk for premature birth, low birthweight, fetal alcohol syndrome and even fetal death. These serious health risks have led health experts around the world to recommend that women abstain from alcohol while trying to conceive and during pregnancy. Yet prior evidence indicates that 25% to 50% of women report drinking alcohol while pregnant, with low income level, partner's drinking behavior, and mother's pre-pregnancy alcohol use all contributing risk factors.
The present population-based study, led by Dr. Kim Stene-Larsen from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health in Oslo, Norway, used data from 66,111 pregnant women and their partners who were part of the Norwegian Mother and Child Cohort Study (MoBa). Mothers filled out surveys related to alcohol use at 17 and 30 weeks of gestation.
The Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test-Consumption (AUDIT-C) was used in the present study to measure light alcohol use (0.5 to 2 units, 1-4 times per month) and binge drinking (intake of 5 alcohol units or more in a single drinking episode). In Norway one unit of alcohol is equivalent to "one glass (1/3 liter or ≈11 oz) of beer, one sherry glass of fortified wine, or one snaps (shot) glass of spirit or liqueur."
Negative affectivity was assessed in gestational weeks 17 and 30 using the Hopkins Symptom Checklist, which measures anxiety and depression. Medical evidence has established that measures of anxiety and depression symptoms are comparable to negative affectivity measures.
Findings indicate that with each unit increase in maternal negative affectivity, the odds for light alcohol increased in the first and second trimester, 27% and 28%, respectively. The odds for binge drinking were much higher at 55% in the first trimester and 114% in the second trimester for each unit increase of negative affectivity in the mother.
"Our findings clearly show a link between a mother's negative emotions, such as depression and anxiety, and light alcohol use and binge drinking during pregnancy," concludes Dr. Stene-Larsen. "Further study is needed to understand why women continue to drink alcohol while pregnant despite health warnings."

LONDON (AP) -- Financial markets were decidedly perkier Thursday as President Barack Obama was set to meet with top Republican leaders in an effort to end the budget impasse that has gripped Washington over the past few weeks.
With the partial shutdown of the U.S. government entering a tenth day and a deadline to raise the debt ceiling just a week away, investors across financial markets are focused on developments in the U.S. capital. The biggest worry has been the debt ceiling: If it's not raised, the U.S. could default on its debts.
One option reportedly being considered to break the standoff has been a short-term increase in the debt ceiling.
Ahead of the meeting with Obama, House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner said he would give the president a proposal extending the government's ability to borrow money through Nov. 22 — but only if he agrees to negotiate over ending a partial government shutdown and a longer-term increase in the debt ceiling.
Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, meanwhile, told a Congressional committee that the president was ready to negotiate over the future direction of fiscal policy but not over whether the U.S. pays its bills.
"The noises out of Washington have begun to sound a little more encouraging, as rumors abound that the two parties may be entering negotiations to raise the debt ceiling enough to buy them a four- to six-week window to find a longer term solution," said Alastair McCaig, market analyst at IG.
In Europe, the FTSE 100 index of leading British shares closed up 1.5 percent at 6,430.49 while Germany's DAX rose 2 percent to 8,685.77. The CAC-40 in France ended 2.2 percent higher at 4,218.11.
In the U.S., the Dow Jones industrial average was up 1.6 percent at 15,032 while the broader S&P 500 index rose 1.6 percent to 1,684.
The dollar has also settled somewhat in recent days following losses that sent it near a year-low against the euro. Europe's single currency was up 0.1 percent at $1.3533 following a big rally by the dollar on Wednesday. Against the Japanese yen, the dollar was up 0.6 percent to 98.13 yen.
Not even a surprisingly big increase in jobless claims could derail the positive sentiment. The Labor Department said claims soared by 66,000 to 374,000 last week, but analysts noted flaws in the data, especially with regard to California.
Stocks have also been shored up over the past day or so by the nomination of Janet Yellen to succeed Ben Bernanke as chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve as well as the minutes to the last Fed policy meeting.
The minutes indicated that the Fed's monetary stimulus will not be reduced until there is clearer evidence of a further improvement in the U.S. economic outlook. The increased likelihood that so-called "tapering" of the stimulus will be delayed until next year has provided stocks a further boost. One of the reasons why stocks have risen over the past few years has been the Fed's stimulus.
Earlier in Asia, Japan's Nikkei rose 1.1 percent to close at 14,194.71 but South Korea's Kospi fell nearly 0.1 percent to 2,001.41. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 shed 0.1 percent after the release of worse-than-expected unemployment data. Benchmarks in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand rose while mainland China fell.
BEIRUT (AP) — Jihadi-led rebel fighters in Syria killed at least 190 civilians and abducted more than 200 during an offensive against pro-regime villages, committing a war crime, an international human rights group said Friday.
The Aug. 4 attacks on unarmed civilians in more than a dozen villages in the coastal province of Latakia were systematic and could even amount to a crime against humanity, Human Rights Watch said in a 105-page report. The findings are based on a visit a month later to the area, with permission from the Syrian regime.
The report quoted witnesses as saying rebels went house to house, killing entire families or killing the men and taking women and children hostage.
The villagers belong to the minority Alawite sect, an offshoot of Shiite Islam which forms the backbone of President Bashar Assad's regime — and which Sunni Muslim extremists consider heretics.
One survivor, Hassan Shebli, told HRW he fled as rebels approached his village of Barouda at dawn, but was forced to leave behind his wife, who was unable to walk without crutches, and his paralyzed 23-year-old son.
When Shebli returned days later, after government forces retook the village, he found his wife and son buried near the house and bullet holes and blood splattered in the bedroom, the New York-based group said.
The findings are bound to feed mounting Western unease about the tactics of some of those trying to topple Assad and about the growing role of jihadi rebels, including foreign fighters linked to al-Qaida.
The main Western-backed rebel alliance, the Free Syrian Army, distanced itself from the five rebel groups named by the HRW as the main perpetrators.
"Anyone who commits such crimes will not belong to the revolution anymore," said spokesman Louay Mikdad.
He said the alliance is not cooperating with extremist groups, and that al-Qaida-linked rebels frequently attack FSA fighters.
A rebel in the Latakia area, who goes by the name of Mohammed Haffawi, denied civilians were killed during the offensive. Reached by Skype, he said one of the rebel groups is holding about 100 women and children as bargaining chips for the release of prisoners held by the regime.
U.N. war crimes investigators have accused both sides in Syria's civil war, now in its third year, of wrongdoing, though they said earlier this year that the scale and intensity of rebel abuses hasn't reached that of the regime.
The new allegations of rebel abuses come at a time when the regime is regaining some international legitimacy because of its apparent cooperation with an internationally mandated program to destroy Syria's chemical weapons stockpile by mid-2014.
Lama Fakih of Human Rights Watch said the rebel abuses in Latakia "certainly amount to war crimes," and may even rise to the level of crimes against humanity.
The group said more than 20 rebel groups participated in the Latakia offensive.
Five groups, including two linked to al-Qaida and others with jihadi leanings, led the campaign, which appeared to have been funded in part by private donations raised in the Persian Gulf, the report said.
Human Rights Watch appealed to the Gulf states to crack down on such money transfers. It also urged Turkey, a rear base for many rebel groups, to prosecute those linked to war crimes and restrict the flow of weapons and fighters.
The Western-backed Syrian opposition must cut ties with the groups that led the Latakia offensive, the report said.
Most of the alleged attacks on civilians occurred on Aug. 4, said the group. The campaign began with rebel fighters seizing three regime posts and then the villages. After the regime positions fell, no pro-government troops were left in the Alawite villages. It took government forces two weeks to recapture all the villages.
Human Rights Watch said at least 67 of the 190 civilians slain by the rebels were killed at close range or while trying to flee. There are signs that most of the others were also killed intentionally or indiscriminately, but more investigation is needed, the group said.
The rebels seized more than 200 civilians from the Alawite villages, most of them women and children, and demanded to trade the hostages for prisoners held by the regime.
The HRW report said the rebel groups that led the offensive included Jabhat al-Nusra and the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, both linked to al-Qaida; Ahrar al-Sham; Jaish al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar; and Suqqor al-Izz.
In fighting Friday, Syrian warplanes bombed the rebel-held northern town of Safira for a second day, killing two people, said the British-based Observatory for Human Rights, which relies on a network of activists on the ground.
A regime-controlled military complex believed to include chemical weapons facilities is located near the town.
About 60 international chemical weapons inspectors and U.N. support staff are currently in Syria, with a mandate to identify and destroy the country's chemical weapons stockpile.
The team is to visit more than 20 sites, and has so far inspected three. Safira would likely be one of the sites to be visited, and its location close to fighting highlights the complexity of the inspectors' mission.
Near the capital Damascus, Syrian forces and pro-regime fighters recaptured two towns close to a Shiite shrine, according the Observatory and a pro-government TV station.
The troops seized the towns of Ziyabiyeh and Husseiniyah after four days of clashes with rebels, said Rami Abdul-Rahman of the Observatory. He said fighting continued on the towns' edges.
Syria's two-year civil war has taken on strong sectarian overtones. Many of the rebels are Sunni Muslims, while Syria's patchwork of minorities, including Shiites, has largely stood behind the Assad regime.

Reggie Williams, the Jaguars? first-round pick in 2004, was among the final cuts of the CFL?s Toronto Argonauts on Saturday.
Williams, 30, signed with the Argonauts on May 29. According to the Canadian QMI Agency wire service, Williams had a one-handed TD catch in the Argonauts? final preseason game Thursday vs. Montreal.
While Reggie Williams? stint in Toronto has ended, another former Jaguars receiver is very much a key part of the Argonauts? 2013 plans.
In fact, this ex-Jaguar is the CFL?s top best player in the estimation of TSN and sportswriters across Canada.
Chad Owens, a sixth-round pick of Jacksonville in 2005, was voted the CFL?s best player?on Friday.
Owens, 31, was the CFL?s Most Outstanding Player in 2012 after catching 94 passes for 1,328 yards and six TDs for the Grey Cup-champion Argos. Moreover, he set a league record for all-purpose yards.
Owens could never quite stick with the Jaguars, who released him in January 2008. But he stuck with professional football. He played Arena ball for a year, then landed on the Montreal Alouettes? practice roster for much of 2009. The next year, the Als traded him to Toronto, and he has been a key contributor since.
For former NFL players, making a?CFL roster is easier said than done. There are just eight CFL teams, and the Canadian game is different than the NFL game, with the wider field one example.
Given that Reggie Williams hasn?t been on an NFL roster since 2010, lasting until Toronto?s final cuts may signal he?s retained some professional-caliber skill. That?s one silver lining. Another may well be the success of his former Jaguars teammate, who?s authored quite the impressive career revival in Canada.
The man who engraved former New York City Mayor Ed Koch's tombstone has apologized for engraving the wrong birth date.
Tommy Flynn, the owner of Flynn Funeral and Cremation Memorial Services, told NBC's New York affiliate that he inadvertently listed Koch's birth year as 1942 instead of 1924. Flynn says he "terrible" and has vowed to correct the grave error, which was discovered over the weekend.
Koch, 88, died in February of congestive heart failure. He was buried in Trinity Church cemetery in Manhattan.
According to Koch's former chief of staff Diane Coffey, the Democratic mayor preparing for his death in the 1980s, and meticulously planned "every detail of [his] burial," including the headstone.
Koch, the city's mayor from 1978 to 1989, bought the plot in Washington Heights in 2008. "I don't want to leave Manhattan, even when I'm gone," he said at the time.
According to NBC 4, Koch designed his tombstone, which included a quote from journalist Daniel Pearl before he was killed by Islamic terrorists: "My father is Jewish; my mother is Jewish; I am Jewish." Koch even visited the cemetery plot with his tombstone in place.
But the 5-foot tall, 6-foot wide grave marker did not list his birth date when he was buried. Flynn etched the erroneous year earlier this month.
"I have to make it right," Flynn said. "I will correct it."
NEW YORK (AP) ? Stocks are falling after the Federal Reserve gave a slightly more optimistic outlook for the U.S. economy, which investors took as a hint that the bank was nearer to a decision to reduce its economic stimulus program.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell as much as 87 points shortly after the Fed's statement came out at 2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. It was down 33 points, or 0.2 percent, at 15,284 as of 2:15 p.m.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index was down three points, 0.2 percent, to 1,649.
The yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose to 2.26 percent from 2.21 percent earlier. That was a sign investors were selling the bonds.
