The New York Yankees are one of the most polarizing teams in all of sports. You either love them or hate them. And as a Yankees/Giants fan I know all about it. If you stop and think there are several NFL players that fit that same description.
Here's a list of 10 NFL players that are similar to the New York Yankees:
James Harrison, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers: James Harrison is for sure one of the most polarizing players in the NFL today. Harrison has been known to deliver a few illegal blows from time to time. That's why he's on this list. Remember that hit he put on Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy? Or the shot he gave Browns receiver Josh Cribbs? The way I see it, if Harrison is on your team you love him. If he takes out one of your players...not so much.

Jay Cutler, QB, Chicago Bears: Jay Cutler is another one of those players that you either love or hate. Cutler is known for being somewhat of a cry baby. I remember seeing him throw a fit or two on the sidelines. And what about the NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers? Was he really hurt? He did have that I could care less look on his face. All I know is that I'm glad he's not the quarterback of my team.
Terrell Owens, WR, Seattle Seahawks: I guess if you're a Seattle Seahawks fan you may be glad to see Terrell Owens come to town. But proceed with extreme caution. The guy is known for not being able to work and play with others. His history is well documented. How many teams has Owens been on? How many times has he gotten cut? Exactly. I don't know what he'll do in Seattle but I bet that it won't end well.
Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots:
Tom Brady is one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. You can't argue that. He has three Super Bowl rings, and he's part of one of the most successful franchises in football. As of late, Tom hasn't been that terrific. He's 0-2 in his last two Super Bowl appearances. My New York Giants had a hand in that. Nonetheless, he's a proven winner. And he's also one of those guys that you either love or hate.Ndamukong Suh, DT, Detroit Lions: Ndamukong Suh has only been in the league for three seasons and already he is another one of those guys you either love or hate. He has pulled some jack wagon stunts on and off the field. Remember the Thanksgiving Day game against the Green Bay Packers when Suh got tossed for stomping on Dietrich-Smith? It's too early to tell what kind of player Suh will become but it's not too early to stick him on this list.

Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers:
Big Ben has had a couple of off the field problems throughout his career. But all that aside he's still a great quarterback. He's got two Super Bowl rings and is one of the toughest players in the NFL. The guy is always playing hurt. And he also likes to tell the media how hurt he is. I personally like Roethlisberger. I like the way he plays the game. But I can also see why some may not share my sentiments.Michael Vick, QB, Philadelphia Eagles:
As I Giants fan you know that I had to put Michael Vick on this list. But it's not because he's a Philadelphia Eagle. He's on here because of that little trouble he got into with the dog fighting thing. Some people have not and will not ever forgive Vick for that. And that's their choice. No matter how much he tries to clean up his image, Vick will still have those who love to hate him.Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants:
Like I said before I'm a Giants fan and I am well aware of the hate that surrounds Eli. I hear it all the time. Eli's not elite, he's not that good of a quarterback, and on and on. Whatever. The bottom line is that he has skins on the wall. And if not for him, the Giants would not have won those two Super Bowls. Hate all you want, but facts don't lie.Tony Romo, QB, Dallas Cowboys: Okay, I'm not being biased here. There's a ton of people who are not drinking the Romo Kool-Aid. Does he deserve the hate that he gets? Maybe. When you play quarterback for the Cowboys you are going to get scrutinized maybe more than in any other city except New York. Dallas is not an easy place to play. Dallas fans want to win. They expect to win. Playing golf in the off-season and wearing his hat backwards all the time doesn't add to Romo's likeability factor. Neither does choking in big games.
Tim Tebow, QB, New York Jets: Tim Tebow is probably the most polarizing player in the NFL today. That whole running around in the rain without a shirt didn't help Tebow win over many fans. I think that people just get sick and tired of hearing about him. The dude is everywhere. Even if he wins multiple titles there's still going to be those who won't jump aboard the Tim Tebow bandwagon. Tim Tebow and the rest of the guys on this list are either hated or loved. Just like the New York Yankees.
Dylan Davis is an avid New York Giants fan and has grown up on New York Giants football. He's seen his G-Men win four Super Bowls and can't wait to see them win four more.
He's also a die hard Yankees fan as well. His first three words were, "Let's go Yankees."
